Bushings are cast from polyurethane and determine the steering behavior of your trucks. They are extremely important and easy to upgrade.

Tall Barrels offer more lean than standard 0.6" bushings and are often used in higher end precision trucks such as Bear Kodiaks, and Zealous Trucks.

Getting the correct height of bushing is crucial to the geometry of your truck performing as it should. The board-side (bottom) bushing is especially important since it affects how the pivot nose sits in the pivot cup. The wrong height can lead to the pivot nose not touching the cup, binding against it, or other serious issues, especially in RKP trucks. The height of the Road-Side (top) bushing is more determined by kingpin length. 

APS™ Formula: Animated Polymer System

The APS compound is very lively, which offers high rebound with lots of control and lean. This formula does not change much when you tighten the kingpin nut past snug (meaning you are no longer able to rotate the bushing by hand).

Keep in mind that the rounded edge goes towards the hanger of the skateboard truck and fits snugly into the bushing seat.

APS is our most lively feeling urethane with high rebound and lean. It will turn 10-15% more than the same duro of other brands. It has the widest range of duro from 97.5a (super hard) down to 60a (really soft), and is a great starting place if you're new to changing your bushings.

As the name implies, APS is Riptides most lively feeling urethane with high rebound and lots of lean. It has the widest range of durometer from 97.5a down to 60a, so there’s something for every rider.

APS has a high rebound and a more immediate return of energy than our other formulas.

It also offers lots of control and 10-15% more lean than the same durometer of other brands, allowing you to push your ride even further.

APS changes when the kingpin nut is tightened past snug more than WFB but less than KranK.
